Veeam Data Platform licensing uses a Universal License (VUL) per-workload subscription model covering VMs, physical servers, cloud instances, and NAS shares. Licenses are sold in packs of 5 or 10 workloads. Pricing increased approximately 4-8% effective January 2026.

Free tier providing full backup and replication functionality for up to 10 workloads with no time limit. Includes the same core backup capabilities as the paid Standard tier for VMware, Hyper-V, and physical server environments.

Standard (VUL)

Entry-level paid tier using Veeam Universal License (VUL) for unlimited workload protection. Sold in packs of 5 or 10 licenses with 24/7 production support included.

Advanced (VUL)

Mid-tier using VUL including all Standard capabilities plus Veeam ONE for advanced monitoring, reporting, and intelligent diagnostics with automated remediation.

Premium (VUL)

Top-tier using VUL including all Advanced capabilities plus Veeam Recovery Orchestrator for automated disaster recovery testing, compliance documentation, and one-click failover orchestration.

Backup Essentials (SMB)

Enterprise-grade backup solution designed for small and medium businesses with 5-50 workloads. Sold in 5-instance packs with production support.
