Unicef Data Plans Pricing

UNICEF Data provides free, open public access to all its APIs as a global public good in support of the UN mandate to advance children's rights and welfare worldwide. There are no paid tiers, subscription fees, or commercial licensing costs. The primary SDMX Data Warehouse API requires no authentication or registration. The GeoSight API requires free account registration for write or admin operations. All data is released under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 IGO, permitting broad reuse including commercial applications with attribution.

SDMX Data Warehouse API - Open Access

Fully open access to UNICEF's Data Warehouse REST API. No registration, authentication, or API key required. Provides access to 748+ child welfare indicators across all UN member states, organized into thematic dataflows for health, nutrition, education, protection, WASH, HIV/AIDS, demography, and gender.

Reference Data Manager API - Open Access

Free access to UNICEF reference data including geographic hierarchies, organizational units, and classification codes. Documented via Swagger/OpenAPI. No authentication required for read operations.

GeoSight API - Free Registered Access

Free access to UNICEF's geospatial data API. Public datasets are available without credentials. Write or administrative operations require free account registration and Django-based authentication.
