Self.ID SDK and the Ceramic node software are fully open-source (MIT/Apache 2 dual license). Developers can run their own Ceramic node at no cost, connecting to the Ceramic mainnet or Clay testnet. There are no subscription fees for using the SDK packages or connecting to community-run gateway nodes.

3Box Labs / Ceramic Hosted Node (Community)

3Box Labs and the Ceramic community operate hosted gateway nodes for the mainnet and Clay testnet. Access is publicly available without authentication for read operations. Write operations require a DID-authenticated client; there is no formal SLA or commercial plan for hosted gateway usage, and availability may vary.
