PANGAEA is a publicly funded open access data repository. All APIs and data services are provided free of charge to the scientific community and general public. There are no tiered commercial plans.
Plans is the machine-readable pricing-plan profile for PANGAEA on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Plans specification.

Plans
All PANGAEA web services are freely accessible without registration or authentication for publicly available datasets. The majority of PANGAEA's 445,000+ datasets are openly accessible under open access licenses (typically CC-BY).
A small number of datasets are temporarily password-protected under a moratorium period (typically up to 2 years) during which data submitters retain exclusive access. Access is granted by contacting PANGAEA directly.
Organizations or projects wishing to publish data through PANGAEA may be asked for a financial contribution toward curation and publication costs if their project has dedicated funding available.
