Open Access

Free, unrestricted access to the ISO 20022 message catalogue, e-Repository, message definitions, XSD schemas, and all published API resources. No registration, API key, or authentication required. The standard is freely accessible to support worldwide adoption by financial institutions, fintech companies, payment processors, and central banks.

ISO 20022 Registration Authority Membership

Financial institutions, payment system operators, and technology vendors may engage with the ISO 20022 Registration Authority (SWIFT) to submit new message definitions or API resources for inclusion in the standard. This process involves formal submission procedures, review by the relevant Standards Evaluation Group (SEG), and registration once approved. There is no charge for the submission process itself, though engagement with SWIFT as Registration Authority may involve separate commercial arrangements.
