Plans

Self-Hosted (Kubo Node)

Run your own Kubo IPFS node to gain full access to the Kubo RPC API (/api/v0/*). Free and open-source under Apache 2.0 / MIT dual license. Full control over storage, pinning, and network configuration. Suitable for development, production infrastructure, and power users.

Public Gateway (Best-Effort)

The IPFS Foundation provides public read-only gateways (ipfs.io, dweb.link, trustless-gateway.link) on a best-effort basis as a community resource. Not intended for production workloads or critical-path use. Throttling or banning applied for overuse or abuse.

Public Delegated Routing (Best-Effort)

The IPFS Foundation's public delegated routing endpoint at delegated-ipfs.dev provides content provider and peer discovery as a community utility. Enables lightweight clients to find content without a full DHT node.

Third-Party Pinning Services

Commercial pinning services (Pinata, Web3.Storage, Filebase, Infura IPFS, Lighthouse, etc.) integrate with the Kubo Remote Pinning API (/api/v0/pin/remote/*) to provide persistent, replicated storage with SLAs. Pricing and features vary by provider.
