Plans
Full access to the Gutendex API with no authentication, no API keys, and no usage fees. Provides access to metadata for 75,000+ public domain books including titles, authors, subjects, bookshelves, download links, and download counts.
Operators can deploy their own Gutendex instance using the open-source MIT-licensed Django application. This provides full control over availability, performance, and data freshness. Project Gutenberg publishes nightly XML/RDF catalog archives that Gutendex downloads and indexes.
