U.S. Customs and Border Protection APIs are provided as a public government service at no cost to authorized users. There are no subscription tiers or API usage fees. However, access to production systems requires advance certification or account registration depending on the API.

Free access for software vendors and Internet application providers that complete the CBP AESWebLink certification process. Allows certified partners to submit and query Electronic Export Information (EEI) on behalf of their users via HTTP POST.
Free web-based access to the Automated Commercial Environment for importers, exporters, brokers, carriers, and other trade participants. Requires registration with CBP. Provides access to ACE Reports, account management, and entry/manifest data.
Free EDI connectivity for licensed customs brokers and self-filers transmitting ANSI X12 or UN/EDIFACT messages directly to ACE via the Automated Broker Interface. Requires ABI participant certification.
Free web portal access for commercial carriers and private aircraft operators submitting advance passenger and crew manifest data to CBP. On-screen entry, XML upload, or EDI (PAXLST) methods supported.
