Aws Healthlake Plans
AWS HealthLake uses a pay-as-you-go model with no upfront costs. Two service tiers are available — HealthLake Advanced (default, with higher FHIR transaction quotas and newer API capabilities) and HealthLake Standard (legacy tier). Charges are based on data store hours, storage consumed, queries beyond the bundled allowance, medical NLP character processing, data export volume, and FHIR Subscription event delivery.

Plans
Default tier for newly created data stores. Provides higher FHIR transaction quotas (3,000 reads/sec and 3,000 writes/sec per data store), access to new API capabilities, FHIR Subscriptions, bulk member match, bulk delete, and an included 2-month free data import period.
Legacy tier for data stores created before September 22, 2023. Lower per-GB storage and query costs but reduced transaction quotas (100 requests per second per data store). Data import is free indefinitely.
