Autodesk BIM 360 APIs are accessed through Autodesk Platform Services (APS), which introduced a new business model effective December 8, 2025. The model provides Free and Paid tiers. BIM 360-specific APIs (Account Admin, Issues, Assets, Cost Management, Model Coordination, RFIs, Checklists, Data Connector, Locations, Relationships, Document Management) are generally available under the non-rated category and remain free with no usage restrictions. Rated APIs such as Model Derivative and Automation API have monthly caps under the free tier and require paid tokens for additional usage.

Prepurchased token bundles consumed before Pay as You Go billing. Tokens expire one year from purchase. Volume discounts apply at 5,000+ tokens. One token equals 300,000 Basic Interaction API calls. Used to extend access beyond free tier caps for rated APIs.
Monthly billing based on actual usage above free tier limits. No upfront commitment required. Available in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Eligibility requirements apply.
Customers with qualifying Autodesk product subscriptions (e.g., BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud) receive monthly API usage credits included with their subscription, allowing API access beyond the standard free tier without additional payment.
