Art Blocks Plans

Art Blocks does not publish tiered commercial pricing plans for its public APIs. The Token API, Generator API, and Media Proxy API are freely accessible without authentication or API keys. The Hasura GraphQL API (data.artblocks.io) is publicly accessible but requires JWT authentication for queries that request off-chain data or write operations; tokens are obtained via the Art Blocks authentication endpoint. The Graph subgraph endpoints require a developer API key from The Graph Network studio. The MCP Server (mcp.artblocks.io) uses OAuth 2.1 and is available to any developer after a one-time sign-in.

Art Blocks Plans is the machine-readable pricing-plan profile for Art Blocks on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Plans specification.

It defines 4 plans, with named plans including Free — Token, Generator, and Media Proxy APIs, Free — Hasura GraphQL API, Free — The Graph Subgraph, Free — MCP Server.

Plans

Free — Token, Generator, and Media Proxy APIs

No authentication required. Open access to the Token API for ERC-721 metadata, the Generator API for live iframe artwork views, and the Media Proxy API for static PNG renders. Available across Ethereum, Arbitrum One, and Base mainnet as well as Sepolia testnet.

Free — Hasura GraphQL API

JWT-authenticated GraphQL API providing on-chain and off-chain data for Art Blocks projects and tokens. Authentication is performed by signing a message with an Ethereum wallet; the resulting JWT is passed as a bearer token. The playground at Hasura Cloud is publicly accessible for ad-hoc queries.

Free — The Graph Subgraph

Decentralised subgraph endpoints via The Graph Network for on-chain data across Ethereum, Arbitrum One, and Base. Requires a developer API key from The Graph Studio; query costs are metered in GRT on The Graph Network.

Free — MCP Server

Art Blocks MCP Server providing 21 AI agent tools for querying projects, tokens, artists, features, mint eligibility, and generative script scaffolding across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base. Uses OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration; supports Authorization Code + PKCE for browser clients and Device Authorization flow for headless agents.
